Bedford County deputies locate stolen Chevrolet truck, suspect now in custody

UPDATE: BCSO has located the truck and says a suspect is in custody.

BEFORE: Bedford County deputies are looking for information about a stolen vehicle.

On Monday, the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office responded to Camper’s Paradise Trail in Moneta in reference to a stolen vehicle. The owner of the vehicle called in and reported the vehicle was stolen on Sunday at approximately 7:00 a.m.

Deputies said the vehicle description is a 1994 Chevrolet 1500 shortbed, blue in color, silver toolbox, VA lic/URA-6631.

According to deputies, the suspect is an unknown white male caught on camera getting into the vehicle and driving off. The suspect was dropped off by a vehicle that appears to be a Ford F-450 or 550 dump truck that is white in color.
