Solar Cinema is tomorrow presenting a special 75-minute short film programme entitled En Route, which features films about travel, migration and fleeing.  Singer-songwriter Claire Tonna will be introducing the theme of the evening with song.

The programme includes:

Bon Voyage by Fabio Friedli (Italy) about a group of migrants on an overcrowded truck heading to Europe.

Dem Dem! by P.B Lopy, M.Recchia, C. Rolin (SN) in which a Senegalese fisherman finds a Belgian passport on a beach in Dakar and decides to use it. He soon crosses paths with N’Zibou, a wise man who measures the clouds and questions the man about his search for identity. Journey Birds by Daphna Awadish (IL), an Israeli animated short exploring the experience of migration and the notions of home and identity. The Essential Signe-Sanne Oorthuijse by Martin and Inge Riebeek (Netherlands), which sees the artists travelling around the world to record the essence of life in their international video series The Essential.

Sand Wanderer by Eric Giessmann (The Netherlands), an animated film about a young desert dweller who decides to follow the footprints of his fellow tribesmen to the origin of natural forces, time.
